How To Program Squads: Bonus Fifth Slot For Hunting.

Google Translate with Text Prefilled

This video is sort of a short Bonus Video… To demonstrate how I use my 5th slot for squad programming for hunting. If you have not already watched them I highly recommend that you watch the to other videos related to squad programming titled: How To Program Squads: Example for Bear Hunt Join and How To Program Squads: Example for Rally depending on whether you are a Beat Hunt joiner or a Bear Hunt rally leader.

Begin in the City view by clicking your profile icon in the very top left of the screen. This will take you to your Chief Profile page. On this page at the bottom of the page click the Troops icon at the bottom of the page. Now we are on the Troops Preview screen. Click the Blue button at the bottom labeled Squads.

Now on this page we can program your fifth slot if you have one for hunting. For the video, I already had this slot saved with some random heroes and troop numbers. If your screen is prefilled with some heroes and troops the first thing you will want to do is to clear them out. You can do this by clicking the red negative at the top right of the lead hero (the hero on the left). This will clear out all the heroes. Then you can click the Withdraw All button on the bottom left. This will clear out all your troops.

Now let's program our 5th squad. Click the large white plus in the blue area for the lead hero. In the Select Heroes window find Gina and add Gina as the lead hero to your fifth squad. Then assign your two other best heroes. If you notice at 0:30 you can see that I have my heroes ranked by power so you will be assigning Molly(probably) as the lancer hero and your other most powerful infantry hero (probably Sergy). In my case that is Molly and Sergey. It might be different for you….

Now back on the Deploy screen click/tap the number for your best level Infantry troops and enter 22K. Next click/tap the number for your best level Lancer troops and enter 11K, then click/tap the number for your best level Marksmen troops and enter 11K… Notice I am not using any lower level troops such as my Hardy Lancers. You can leave out all other troops except those described above because they will not enhance your drops.

Once you have the squad configured, click the Save button. On the Squad Lineup screen choose your fifth slot and then it will prompt you to name it. I suggest Hnt but you can name it whatever helps you. Then click Confirm. Once you click Confirm that squad is saved.

You might be wondering why I am only used 44K troops total. The reason is that I want to make sure to leave room for lots of other chiefs to join if I am launching a rally. By only launching the rally with 44K troops that is exactly 1/15 the number of troops that will fill a rally against the most vicious Polar Terror in our land that we can hunt right now, the level 6 Frost Gaint.

If I decide to hunt a high level beast with this preprogrammed squad like a level 23-24 beast, it is easy enough for me after selecting this squad from the deploy screen when I hunt the beast to just slide all the sliders to the right to maximize my troops to hunt the high level beast. You may also be wondering why I am also leading with Gina instead of Molly or some other hero. Gina has a skill that allows you to launch hunts/rallies with less stamina. I can currently launch a hunt with only 9 stamina using her. I can launch a rally with only 21 stamina using her. Soon when I raise her Endurance skill to level 4, those numbers will be 8 and 20… so over a week of hunting that is several more hunts and rallies I can get in. Happy Hunting!

Batch Healing: No Audio Transcript Only.

Google Translate with Text Prefilled

In the World view start by clicking the little medic symbol near the bottom just left of the envelope symbol. This opens the Heal Injured pop over. If you mistakenly immediately click heal and it says a bunch of hours. DO NOT STRESS! Just click the red Cancel Healing button, when the window pops up asking you to confirm, click the Blue confirm button.

Now press the blue Quick Select button at the bottom left of the window. This will set all your troop heal levels to zero. Now start with the top troop which will be your highest level troop and adjust the heal amount until the heal time is a little under 15 mins. Here I am just going to tap on the number and directly enter 400 which returns a heal time of about 13 and a half minutes.

Now I click the heal button and the help button and almost instantly my troops are healed. And the settings are already set for the next batch. I click heal and help again and the next batch is instantly healed. This is repetitive but is much better than waiting over 3 hours.

As I continue to heal batches of my top level troops, some commentary about the helping hands. If you have just been in a battle with other alliance members and they are also going to be trying to batch heal, keep a close eye on the helping hands that pop up and click them to help your fellow chiefs heal. When others are online trying to self heal I usually end up in a pattern of clicking heal, help, hands… then heal, help, hands.

Keep a eye on your batch healing as it moves from one group of troop types to the other. As it moves from higher level troops to lower level troops you will probably need to adjust the amount being healed to have about the same time consumption. If you pause the video at about 1:00 minute exactly you will see that the last 48 of my lvl 8 Marksmen are only going to use 2:48 of healing time, so I can bump up the amount of other lower level troops you can heal so you are in a sweet spot just under 15 minutes.

You can see at 1:10 in the video that I am able to include all the remaining lower level troops and the healing time is just over 9 minutes so I am able to finish healing all my troops with this one final batch.

Going back to the City view and then opening up the Infirmary you can see at 1:25 that all my troops are healed. Happy Hunting!
